GRASTON TECHNIQUE
Graston Technique breaks down and releases scar tissue. The technique utilizes patented stainless steel instruments, uniquely shaped to treat different areas of the body. The weight and design of the instruments allows physical therapists to effectively treat soft tissue dysfunctions.
For the clinician:
• Promotes efficient and focused treatment
• Provides improved diagnostic treatment
• Detects major and minor fibrotic changes
• Increases ability to treat larger areas more efficiently
For the Patient:
• Releases tight myofascial tissues and relieves pain.
• Decreases overall time of treatment
• Fosters faster rehabilitation/recovery
• Reduces need for anti-inflammatory medication
BODY MAP
Body Map™ is used to help identify biomechanical flaws in human movement and is a great adjunct to physical therapy.
Five digital images of an individual squatting are downloaded into the Body Map software. These images are then analyzed for movement dysfunctions by a trained physical therapist. Once the analysis is complete, the software produces an individualized exercise program designed to correct the movement dysfunction. The exercise program can be customized to challenge our patient to their fullest capabilities. The program includes:
• Mobility exercises
• Stability exercises
• Functional strength exercises
This supplemental home exercise program is given to the patient so our patients can reach their goals quickly, safely and effectively.
